This card is for my friend and boss who is recovering after having knee surgery. She loves pictures of kids and the ocean. I added Diamond Glaze to the water caps and the puddles by the little girl's feet so that it looks like real water.

Valentine's Day Decor

Even though I'm not a fan of Valentine's Day - "Valentine Schmalentine" - I like the holiday decor. I didn't decorate for Christmas so I'm catching up with Valentine's!

New Cubicle Decor at the job!

Needed to update the decor at the job so I went with my old standby black and white with pops of red! Sassy!

Birthday card for Lucas!

I have a little buddy named Lucas. He turned 6 on Friday. I work with his mom. He is soooo smart and clever and loves to draw pictures for us girls at work. I decided he needed a personalized card to help celebrate his birthday..................... One of his favorite movies is "Cars"

On his pictures he draws he likes to make them 2 dimensional so I made the cars 2 dimensional (the pictures aren't that great but here they are)

I had so much fun making it - I hope he had as much fun receiving it!

New Client - Meet Bella!

Frankie's parents, Tim and Dan, have adopted a little sister for him. She is absolutely adorable and full of energy (much to Frankie's chagrin). She's going to keep him on his toes for sure!

2012 Word to live by....

This is the year of "freedom". Freedom from physical, mental and emotional restrictions! It's a day-by-day decision but I'm all in! Thanks to the help of our Wellness Coordinator at work, Melanie Cumbee, I'm just starting down the path - baby steps.

Meet two new clients!

Last year I started pet-sitting for Holly. Holly has two beautiful kitties. Girl is very outgoing and loves to be loved and to play. Max is very shy but once she gets used to you she will become your friend. Meet Max:

Meet Burlesque!

I received an email from a friend of mine begging me to foster a kitten until we could find a new home for her. I was of course hesitant because my little friend Lexa is not fond of "visitors" but I did go ahead and take her in. She had been named Burlesque and had a pink sparkly collar and the sweetest little meow!

She was with us until Christmas Eve day. Her new family picked her up around noon and were surprising the 14 year old daughter. She caught their hearts very quickly and made herself at home and now has a forever family! Love happy endings......

Thanksgiving in Seattle

Thanksgiving in Seattle didn't start off on the right foot - literally! At 5 am the day of my flight to Seattle I decided to slip down the last two steps with my suitcase. Landed on my ankle - by the time I landed in Seattle my ankle was 3 times bigger than normal. Not a good time but I had my mom around to help take care of me - YAY!!!! Other than spending time with mom and seeing my friend Kris I got to have lunch with a cousin I haven't seen in probably 30 years. It was so awesometo spend time with Craig and catch up as much as we did. I have to say it was probably the highlight of 2011! Meet Craig............

Super Sitter - Petsitting - SQUIRREL-TASTROPHE AVERTED!

Cruiser is at my house for the day because his mom and dad are having some work done at their house. As you may or may not know Cruiser's favorite pasttime is stalking squirrels....although I'm sure he would rather it be catching squirrels! Today he came very close to catching one. Two squirrels, who will remain nameless, weren't paying close attention to where they were chasing each other and down the tree trunk one went.......Cruiser sprang into action missing the squirrel by only inches.

Thankfully everyone is ok although Cruiser's ego may be a little bruised but he'll be back to try another day!

My favorite Lady! Beautiful Bonnie!

I started visiting Bonnie in November 2008 a couple days a week. Bonnie lives with her daughter and son-in-law. They all decided that it would be good for everyone if someone came in and hung out with Bonnie so that the daughter and son-in-law could spend the day together, run errands, do whatever they wanted. Bonnie is mobile but sometimes has trouble with balance so that's why they wanted to have someone there in case she needed a hand.

Well, we hit it off instantly - we have so much in common. We are both very crafty, creative people. She has a great sense of humor, loves to laugh, go to lunch, movies, shop, etc. We have had a lot of fun!

She is currently staying with another daughter and her family for a couple months so I miss her greatly and look forward to her return!
